CompTIA and JTI Expand Partnership
CHICAGO, Ill., August 14, 2009 – JTI, inc., a global solutions company headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA, and CompTIA, the leading provider of vendor-neutral IT certifications, based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, have announced the launch of a web portal for the CTT+ certification program.
CompTIA CTT+ is an international, vendor-neutral certification that covers core instructor skills, including preparation, presentation, communication, facilitation and evaluation in both a classroom and virtual classroom environment. All candidates must take the CompTIA CTT+ Essentials exam, and at least one of the two designations: Classroom Trainer or Virtual Classroom Trainer, for which they provide a recorded video.
Due to a growing interest in the CTT+ certification both in the United States and internationally, CompTIA sought to expand their certification capabilities in languages beyond English, as well as implement a faster solution to the video scoring portion of the certification. Until recently, the certification process required the candidate to mail a VHS or DVD to CompTIA’s scoring partner.
Early in 2009, CompTIA consulted with JTI, their global solutions partner, who recommended the creation of a web portal that would allow for uploading of digital videos. JTI worked within CompTIA’s specifications and CTTSubmission.com was born. The CTT Submission portal allows users to upload their trainer videos from the comfort of their homes, from anywhere in the world, eliminating the hassle of international shipping and also providing a much more environmentally-friendly alternative. CTTSubmission is capable of validating whether or not the candidate has passed the first requirement -- the written test -- and it also allows the candidate to pay the submission fee online or use a CompTIA voucher.
Together, CompTIA and JTI have now made it easier to identify excellent and dedicated instructors through the Certified Technical Trainer program for those speaking English, German, and Japanese, with more languages to follow in the future.
If you are interested in the CTT+ certification, web portals or other global services, please contact JTI and CompTIA accordingly.
